If you are looking for a good pub meal, this place is perfect. Very friendly service. Reasonably priced and sized meals. Other common pub amenities. What more do you want? Will definitely be back in the future. Lots of appealing items left on the menu to try out.
Absolutely amazing place cannot recommend the food, the staff where amazing and friendly, greated you and made you feel welcomed.
Havent had a meal here before but is now on my list for celebrations or just a family night/day meal

Huge shout out to the staff at the Charles Darling Hotel.We had lunch yesterday and the staff are amazing and the eye fillet was cooked to perfection! We had our Jack Russell with us and they brought us out a water bowl and the kitchen gave Odie treats and some steak. Outstanding food and service.
Lovely front of house staff, but steak came out medium-well done instead of medium rare. I sent it back asking for a medium rare. The chef apparently needs to go back to cooking school because they claimed that it was indeed medium rare...

I am sorry you were not happy with your steak and felt the need to write a review.
It was actually my decision to send the steak back as we all thought it was a perfect medium rare.
If you do decide to come back, I would strongly suggest you order your steak rare to hopefully avoid another negative experience.

Group of 4 dined here over long weekend had made a booking. We were advised on arrival they were extremely busy could be delayed meals… there were none. Sun our waitress was fantastic great sense of humour all the staff were genuinely great and friendly. All our meals were tasty 😋 atmosphere was very good extensive menu if you can’t find something to eat I’d be surprised.

First off, the front of house staff are incredibly friendly and love having a chat. Made us feel very welcome. Food was really nice, big portions and reasonably priced. Kudos to all, and I'll be back.
Came here on a Tuesday for steak night and it was great! Quick service and food was excellent
Great pub grub, great service for lunch, heaps of people in for a Thursday lunch, the porterhouse with chips and veg for $32 was excellent, will come again
The meals are amazing and the service was great the chicken parmigiana is my favourite its the only pub in Geelong that I like. And the atmosphere is extremely cozy I love it I will be back again

Best Resotto, excellent chicken schnitzel wraps, out of the world Thai beef salad, unmatched steaks and eggplant parmi, topped with nicely heated sitting area and lovely lovely service from behind the counter and kitchen. Portions are big enough for hungry people!!

Lunch here was excellent, the chicken scallopini with strands of bacon, and mushrooms on a creamy sauce was very tasty and fresh. The service was A1..highly recommended
