The Sir Charles Darling Hotel is located just two blocks up from the Geelong Waterfront and down a block from the Geelong Hospital on Bellerine St.

We are probably most known for two things; Our porterhouse steaks (only $23.00) and secondly, our wide ranging great value menu. You certainly won't go home hungry and you're welcome to take a doggy bag home with you. And I haven't mentioned the extra offerings on our popular "Weekly Specials" nights.
The Pub also offers entertainment with free to air TV, a full TAB & Keno and Beer Garden, and now also the opportunity to enjoy your food and drinks on the outdoor picnic tables in front of the pub.
Do I need to make a reservation?
Yes, we recommend that you call in advance. It is best to book if you are planning on dining, especially on weekly special nights and Friday lunches and Saturday nights
What are the kitchen's opening hours?
The kitchen is open from 12pm to 2pm Monday to Thursday and 12pm to 5pm Friday and Saturday. Dinner is from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. We are closed on Sunday.
Are pre-orders welcome?
Yes we often arrange pre-orders especially for businesses This allows you to arrive at the Hotel and have your meal delivered promptly. If you do pre-order you must ensure that you are at the venue at the time (e.g 1:05pm) you state you would like your meal to be ready.
Do you cater for Coeliacs (gluten free)?
Yes, we have extensive options for coeliacs. Our staff, both kitchen and wait staff are very well trained in dealing with food allergies.
Do you cater for Vegetarians & Vegans?
Yes we have vegetarian options on the menu & we do cater for vegans.
Do you cater for other allergies?
Yes if you are clear on what you can and can't have we will organise a special meal for you.

Do you have a lunch menu & is it avaiable on weekends?
Yes we have a special lunch menu with something for everyone starting at $13.50.

Do you have a children's menu?
Yes our children's menu is available all day 6 days a week. There are many options all $10.00.
Can I book a function at the Hotel?
Yes. However we do not have a function room. Functions use a segregated part of the bar and for this reason there is no room hire.
We can also organise a set menu for sit down dinners. For functions it is best to contact us directly, as we design the function around what it is you want to do and we are very flexible here.
Do you have a kids play room?
No, we do cater for children, but do not have a playroom.
Do you have pokies?
No, we have a full TAB & Keno but no pokies.
Do you have a smokers area?
Yes there is undercover smoking area separated from the outdoor beer garden that allows for smoking.
